as above so below

as above so below is a game about a city on a planet in a system in a galaxy. you are observing it. you are also creating it. your role in this game is fairly nebulous— you will pass in and out of the city, and the various organizations and factions that populate it. you’ll see glimpses— maybe more— of the surrounding system, to see how it influences the city, but for the most part, you remain within its limits.

this is a faction generation game based on together we write private cathedrals by ben roswell, which itself is after the work of takuma okada. it is designed to be played over post with a tarot deck (or multiple) and one six sided die. it can be played on its own or used as an oracle for a campaign or a one-shot. the oracles alone can be downloaded for free.
